A 15×15 game: the banner warns that the opponent wins next turn, and marks the cell to block

On a 20×20 board, it is easy to miss a line of four at the other end. Gomoku XXL watches the whole board and tells you when a move decides the game.

What the markers show

A banner above the board says what is at stake, and the cells are marked:

  • Winning move available: you can win now.
  • Block now — opponent wins next turn: one cell to cover.
  • Two winning threats: you can only block one: the game is decided.
  • Open three: block one end before it becomes four.

Learn to see them

The markers do not play for you: they point. With time, you see the open threes and the fours yourself. In multi-line mode, they mark the lines to take and the lines your opponent can score.

Switch them off

Threat markers, in the settings, is on at first. Switch it off to play without help. The daily puzzle never shows them.
